Inference with limits

Separate a textual clue from a plausible inference and an unsupported claim.

Make the thinking visible

Worked relationship · read left to right
Clue

Mina folded the untouched letter and put it away.

Inference

She may be reluctant to read it.

Limit

We cannot yet identify the sender or her reason.

Original classroom example. Numerical data are illustrative unless explicitly identified otherwise. A completed organiser models reasoning; copying it is not evidence of independent learning.

Reveal the misconception check

Ask what the model does not establish. A plausible explanation needs supporting evidence and a clear limit. For a method, check each step against the original conditions.
