Review

Help an audience judge a book, film, product or experience. Explore its shape, language, tone and register, then switch the advice to fit your curriculum context.

Model clinic

Compare a draft with a stronger version.

Less effective: The book was exciting and I liked it.

More effective: The shifting narrators keep the mystery alive, though the final chapter resolves the clues too quickly. Readers who enjoy plot puzzles may still find it rewarding.

Specific evaluation helps readers decide.
